Watching that sweet butterfly Makes me smile ‘cause I know Summer breeze or drop of rain It’s all the same, you’re finally home Sun rays reach down from the sky Makes me smile ‘cause I know Swirling sand and ocean tides Arms open wide, you’re finally home You’re finally home… Finally home… You’re finally home Bright light comes to take you there Anywhere you want to go Everlasting love and light I know tonight you’re finally home ©2021 WRITER: Robin Ruddy Sheridan-BMI PUBLISHER: Hammering the Hits-BMI CONTACT: banjogirl@bestbuiltsongs.com

You're Gone 03:38
Never in a million trillion tears Did I ever think this would be the year Having to face my biggest fears You’re gone You were my heart and you were my soul How do I fill this great big hole The world is spinning out of control You’re gone Where do I belong I’m trying to move on I can’t believe… You’re gone Time crawls while speeding by While I pick up the pieces of my life Reach out for you in the middle of the night But you’re gone Where do I belong I’m trying to move on I can’t believe… You’re gone ©2021 WRITER: Robin Ruddy Sheridan-BMI PUBLISHER: Hammering the Hits-BMI CONTACT: banjogirl@bestbuiltsongs.com

Every little thing that you did that you did That you did that you did for me Keeps coming up every day, every day Every day there’s something I need The yard needs a mowin’, the car needs a fixin’ And the dogs are diggin’ up the dirt The refrigerator’s buzzing and I don’t know why If you were here, you’d make it work Chorus Dinner for one and a glass of wine At the end of a long, long day I’ve got a problem that I can’t figure out I want to know what you’d say Chorus BR Of all the little things you did for me The biggest thing you did was, let me, be me Chorus ©2021 WRITER: Robin Ruddy Sheridan-BMI PUBLISHER: Hammering the Hits-BMI CONTACT: banjogirl@bestbuiltsongs.com

Carry On 03:10
We had dreams, we had plans We had it all figured out Walking arm in arm together Straight into the face of doubt Your memories will stay with me Like the words of our favorite songs And all that’s left for me to do Is carry on, carry on We somehow knew, how to make each other strong When times got tough When our knees got weak, and the days got long We’d lift each other up Your memories will stay with me Like the words of our favorite songs And all that’s left for me to do Is carry on, carry on BR: I hear you whisper in my soul Just try After all you set me up To fly Your memories will stay with me Like the words of our favorite songs And all that’s left for me to do Is carry on, carry on Carry on, carry on ©2021 WRITER: Robin Ruddy Sheridan-BMI PUBLISHER: Hammering the Hits-BMI CONTACT: banjogirl@bestbuiltsongs.com

Tonight I’m drinking for two -These days, it’s all I can do So here’s one for me, and here’s one for you Tonight I’m drinking for two Happy hour starts a little earlier these days With nobody here, why would I wait It’s a Band-Aid on a big heartache Let the spirits take me away Tonight I’m drinking for two -These days, it’s all I can do So here’s one for me, and here’s one for you Tonight I’m drinking for two You’re glass sits empty right next to mine As I’m trying to deal with Saturday night It was always our tradition, we celebrated life So here’s to you tonight Tonight I’m drinking for two -These days, it’s all I can do So here’s one for me, and here’s one for you Tonight I’m drinking for two ©2021 WRITER: Robin Ruddy Sheridan-BMI PUBLISHER: Hammering the Hits-BMI CONTACT: banjogirl@bestbuiltsongs.com

I’m trying to fill your great big shoes Every single day Without losing track of my own true north Trying to find my way Everything’s changed Everything’s changed There’s an echo of an empty sound when I call out your name Everything’s changed Everything’s changed I wish that I could talk to you Every single night I’m trying to make myself believe It’s gonna be alright Everything’s changed Everything’s changed There’s an echo of an empty sound when I call out your name Everything’s changed Everything’s changed BR: You’re in a sacred place deep inside my heart So close to me but impossibly far Everything’s changed Everything’s changed There’s an echo of an empty sound when I call out your name Everything’s changed Everything’s changed ©2021 WRITER: Robin Ruddy Sheridan-BMI PUBLISHER: Hammering the Hits-BMI CONTACT: banjogirl@bestbuiltsongs.com

There’s a monster in the closet That’s got a grip on me A dark and dangerous demon That only I can see Sometimes it makes me laugh But never sets me free That monster in the closet That monster in the closet There’s a monster in the closet They call it different names No matter where it comes from The destruction’s still the same Friends and family look away But they still feel the pain Of the monster in the closet The monster in the closet If I turn on the light Will it go away? Truth is in the end It’s the monster that I crave… There’s a monster in the closet A monster in the closet There’s a monster in the closet That’s got a grip on me A dark and dangerous demon That only I can see ©2021 WRITER: Robin Ruddy Sheridan-BMI PUBLISHER: Hammering the Hits-BMI CONTACT: banjogirl@bestbuiltsongs.com

Finally boxing up your clothes tonight I didn’t know what I’d find Buried deep beneath your old tattered sweater That’s where I found… the letter If you’re reading this tonight …. I must be gone from your sight … But I want you to know, yeah I want you to know Have a good life have a good life I hope you find your path to happiness And a kind man who loves you better I hope your dreams come true, I hope you will always be you Thank you my love… for the letter If you’re reading this tonight …. I must be gone from your sight … But I want you to know, yeah I want you to know Have a good life, have a good life ©2021 WRITER: Robin Ruddy Sheridan-BMI PUBLISHER: Hammering the Hits-BMI CONTACT: banjogirl@bestbuiltsongs.com

It’s a long and winding journey for me Setting your spirit free Holding on while letting go On the path to finding me Sometimes I might get off track Sometimes I might shine Like bamboo that keeps coming back I’m gonna keep on trying Don’t give up on me just yet It’s gonna take some time I’ve gotta believe with every step In the end I’m gonna be fine We built a lifetime together A perfect paradise Everywhere I look I see you there And I feel you by my side Sometimes I might get off track Sometimes I might shine Like bamboo that keeps coming back I’m gonna keep on trying Don’t give up on me just yet It’s gonna take some time I’ve gotta believe with every step In the end I’m gonna be fine Step by step Day by day There’s nothing left But to find my way Sometimes I might get off track Sometimes I might shine Like bamboo that keeps coming back I’m gonna keep on trying Don’t give up on me just yet It’s gonna take some time I’ve gotta believe with every step In the end I’m gonna be fine ©2021 WRITER: Robin Ruddy Sheridan-BMI PUBLISHER: Hammering the Hits-BMI CONTACT: banjogirl@bestbuiltsongs.com

Healing happens one tear at a time One day I looked up, and I wasn’t crying It sneaks in quietly without even trying Healing happens, One tear at a time The scars of the heart run deep The mountain to climb is so steep But with kindness and love, and some help from above I’m Iearning to finally breathe Healing happens one tear at a time One day I looked up, and I wasn’t crying It sneaks in quietly without even trying Healing happens, One tear at a time It’s a lazy river that flows Winding and drifting so slow Then after a while, there might be a smile That’s when a healing heart knows Healing happens one tear at a time One day I looked up, and I wasn’t crying It sneaks in quietly without even trying Healing happens, one tear at a time ©2021 WRITER: Robin Ruddy Sheridan-BMI PUBLISHER: Hammering the Hits-BMI CONTACT: banjogirl@bestbuiltsongs.com MASTER: Robin Ruddy

about

This Americana project takes the listener on an emotional journey from grief to healing.

After the untimely passing of my husband, these songs started coming fast. It was as if they were falling out of the sky. As if we were somehow, still communicating through the music.

Eventually, after I had written 14 songs, I realized that it was becoming a complete body of work. A concept album. A journey that I could take other people on in hopes of helping them find their way to healing.

Initially the healing was for him. Then it became healing for me. And going forward I hope that it becomes healing for others who are experiencing any kind of grief.
